FEA Vision & Mission
At Fair Employment Agency (FEA) we believe forced labour is a solvable world problem. FEA aims to disrupt the domestic worker industry with our ethical recruitment model and influence other players to change their recruitment practices. By doing this, we will make migrant recruitment work better for everyone and end the forced labor of migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong.
Role of the Board
The Board will support the work of the FEA Team and provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance. While day-to-day operations are led by the FEA General Manager, the Board-GM relationship is a partnership, and the appropriate involvement of the Board is both critical and expected. Specific Board Member responsibilities include:
Serving as an advisor to the GM as they develop and implement FEA’s strategic plan.
Reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings.
Reviewing results and metrics created by FEA for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics.
Approving FEA’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities.
Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the GM.
Assisting the GM and Board Chair in identifying and recruiting other suitable Board Members.
Partnering with the GM and other Board Members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out.
Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments.
Representing FEA to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization.
Ensuring FEA’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities we serve.
