Resolve Foundation is a s88 charity founded in 2017 that helps create changemakers in our community to drive a more inclusive Hong Kong. Our signature program is a Fellowship that has so far supported over 50 emerging community leaders in Hong Kong from diverse walks of life. In 2020, Resolve also launched an innovative Opportunity Fund, a small seed grant to support alumni (fellows who successfully completed the Fellowship) to turn their ideas for equality into action. Lastly, Resolve runs public outreach and education campaigns, such as Every Action Matters, to raise public understanding of inclusion.

In our new phase of organizational maturity and under our Second Strategic Plan, Resolve is transitioning from a founding board to a governing board. Currently, Resolve has board terms of three-year duration with possibility of renewal and five board of directors. We are looking to grow the board to have more members as well as active committees, and to grow it thoughtfully in line with our commitment to diversity. This second generation of board directors will play a pivotal role in steering the organization into a new era of sustainable growth and social impact in the community.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
In assessing our existing board composition and the direction of Resolve in the years to come, the following skill sets and profiles would be particularly welcome and desirable:

● Governance & Legal: Understanding of compliance, laws and regulations related to charities, risk management, creating and leading high-performing committees and working groups.

● Finance: Professional experience in a financial capacity (such as accounting, financial management, bookkeeping, etc.) to eventually take on the role of Treasurer.

● Communications: Media or PR background, sharp understanding of marketing, branding, in particular, emerging trends in digitization of nonprofit community outreach.

● Human Resources: human resource management, talent recruitment, development and retention, diversity, equity and inclusion.
