HELP Limited(“HELP”) and its registered subsidiaries HELP for Domestic Workers and HELP Education and Community Services, is a non-profit organisation that seeks to provide access to justice and fair and equal treatment for migrant domestic workers.

Fundraising and Development Manager

Reporting to the HELP Limited Executive Director, the Fundraising and Development Manager will have the overall responsibility in respect the design and delivery of HELP’s fundraising initiatives to ensure fiscal sustainability of the organisation.

Key responsibilities of the Fundraising and Development Manager include: -

    1. Development and implementation of HELP’s fundraising initiatives and identification of revenue streams as necessary to support HELPs mission and achieve income targets across the range of revenue streams.

    2. Development and management of donor relationships including long term grant partnerships, corporate donor programmes and individual giving programmes

    3. Development and drafting of concept notes, project proposals and associated budgets for submission to funders in line with organisation and programme needs. 

    4. Development and drafting of periodic reports and funding updates including required income and expenditure tracking and evaluation systems

    5. Development, management and execution of the organisation’s public fundraising events and initiatives

    6. Development, implementation and continuous evaluation of HELP’s fundraising volunteer and intern policies and practices including recruitment, onboarding and training of volunteers and interns. 

    1. Be active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic, and private organisations.

    2. Establish and maintain relationships with various organisations, corporates and other stakeholders and use those relationships to strategically enhance HELP’s Mission.


Reports to: Executive Director


Key Relationships: Executive director and senior leadership team, staff, board of directors, volunteers, interns, beneficiaries


Key External Contacts:  Funders and grant making bodies, corporate partners, schools partners, general public and other donors

The Ideal Candidate…

  • is a professional with a fundraising and development background, ideally with an interest in migrant worker rights and has knowledge of Hong Kong’s migrant worker issues.

  • holds a bachelor’s degree and has relevant at least 3 years work experience in one of the above professions (or similar).

  • strong writing, editing, presentation and relationship management skills, including the ability toengage with senior-level stakeholders and corporate partners.

  • experience in proposal writing and budget development including familiarity with monitoring and evaluation tools.

  • experience in development and execution of public fundraising initiatives including events and online fundraising campaigns.

·         high-level of organisation with the ability to plan, prioritise tasks, meet multiple deadlines.

·         has excellent command of written and spoken English. The ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is preferrable.

  • is initiative-taking, a self-starter, and a resourceful problem solver, with strong attention to detail.

  • has strong relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to thrive in and contribute to a culture of collaboration and teamwork in a diverse environment; and

  • exhibits the empathy and patience crucial to working with vulnerable community members.

Salary and benefits commensurate with the level of experience of the chosen candidate and our status as a charity (Salary range between HK$ 23,000-HKS 26,000).
