​At ConnectedGroup, we are supporting ImpactHK in the search for their Head of Operations.

ImpactHK is a non-profit that provides people experiencing homelessness in Hong Kong with food, shelter, education and employment opportunities.Guided by a core principle of Kindness, every day ImpactHK is on the streets supporting the homeless with essentials, building trust and friendships. These friendships open doors towards housing, job creation, sports, counselling and other opportunities that empower our friends with pride, hope, health, and happiness.

Working closely with the CEO and board of directors, the Head of Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the charity formulating strategies, implementing policies and processes, and effectively leading a team into the achievement of goals.

Responsibilities:

·         Contributing to the overall strategic direction and sustainability of ImpactHK

·         Driving corporate governance activities, meeting regulatory/compliance reporting requirements, scheduling and coordinating board meetings in Hong Kong

·         Overseeing the development and maintenance of the organization’s legal agreements, supported by external firms.

·         Supervising the Finance function on financial management and control, including preparation of monthly reports for the Board, annual financial audit process and annual planning/budgeting.

·         Driving organizational effectiveness, including continuous improvement of and automation of operational processes and workflows, and formulation/refinement of organizational policies.

·         Continuously learning about topics and practices related to the organization’s mission and providing input to its thought leadership and communications content

·         Formulating and driving the organization’s people and talent management strategy, with the aim of a highly engaged and professional team and a workplace culture that is empowering, inclusive and supportive.

·         Leading and managing full spectrum of HR functions: manpower planning and budgeting, recruitment, onboarding, compensation and benefits, administration, training, performance appraisals and employee engagement.

·         Overseeing KPIs related to all approved programmes, covering finance, headcount, and reporting.Coordinating the approval process for new initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors' degree or above in Business Administration or other related fields is required 

  • 10-15+ year’s work experience; with at least 5 years in a leadership role

  • Experience in corporate or SME environment, NGO experience is advantageous

  • Expert in financial modelling, planning and forecasting

  • Experience administering HR processes including performance management

  • Compassionate and empathetic to the organizational cause and the underprivileged in Hong Kong

  • Proven leadership experience in project / people management 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and as a proactive team player

  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving and communication

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese

  • Candidates legally entitled to work in Hong Kong are preferred.
