Marketing Communications & Digital Officer (2-year contract)
The Marketing Communications & Digital Officer is responsible for the planning, managing and delivery of the online and offline outputs of Oxfam Hong Kong’s (OHK’s) communications plan and will support its fundraising events. In addition, he/she will manage OHK’s website and online platforms.
Plan, coordinate and execute communications and publicity projects via online and offline channels.
Be responsible for marketing communications tasks, including media liaison and publicity, writing press releases and features for fundraising activities.
Render logistics support for media and communications work of the team.
Copywrite, edit, and contribute ideas for agency communications materials, including digital and social media engagement contents, fundraising collateral, and external communications, including posters, emergency/appeal advertisements, agency/fundraising advertisements, etc.
Plan, coordinate, and liaise with external and internal parties (e.g. personnel, vendors) on the production of online and offline communications outputs, website and OHK’s social media channels.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of various digital and social media communication initiatives.
Take on additional tasks and assignments as reasonably requested by his/her direct supervisor.
Degree in Marketing, Communications or Journalism with at least 5 years’ relevant working experience in marketing, advertising, or editing (preferably on digital or social media platforms).
Solid experience in planning and managing communication and public engagement projects with online and offline engagement.
Good understanding of current market and social media marketing concepts and best practices.
Knowledge of SEM and SEO practices; experience and ability to manage content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
Design and copywriting skills; proficient in photo and multimedia editing software such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
Creative with good interpersonal and project management skills, and able to work under pressure.
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office and Chinese word processing.
Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
