In our first three years, Resolve ran iterations of our Fellowship on Racial Equality and Inclusion (2018), Ending Gender-Based Violence Together (2019) and Disability and Empowerment (2020). 52 fellows completed our program and 80% reported that they would not have accomplished what they had without Resolve’s support. Purpose of the role and responsibilities
The opening of this role comes at a time where Resolve is embarking on its Second Strategic Plan (2021-2025) with ambition to adapt our Fellowship theme stopressing social issues in the post-COVID world and what makes for a dignified life. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an up start NGO, a close-knit team and in a senior position where you can make a direct impact to the success and sustainability of Resolve. In this role, you will oversee and steer the direction of our programs, thinking not just about how to improve them as they are designed today, but also ideating how they might be adapted, or new ones incubated, for the future so as to meet our stakeholders’ needs. As a member of the senior management team, you will be expected to work across different functions, such as supporting colleagues in marketing & fundraising and finance and administration and general organizational growth and external relations.

Program Management (core responsibilities)
●To lead on and be responsible for overseeing all aspectsof the Resolve Social Justice Fellowshipprogram, including the planning and research, recruitment,curation, execution and evaluation, anddevising strategies to further build up the mentoringcomponent of the fellowship.
●To lead on and be responsible for overseeing all aspectsof the Alumni Program, and envisioncreative ways to harness the potential for partnershipamong the larger Resolve community,including advisors, mentors, guest speakers and Resolvers.
●To grow and expand the Opportunity Fund for alumni,ensuring that projects from application toaward and implementation fit within Resolve’s overallstrategy and mandate, and devising ways tomake the fund more participatory over time.
●To oversee core aspects of the delivery of Resolve’s2021Every Action Matterspublic engagementproject, including an equality toolkit and workshops,in collaboration with our community of fellowsand partners.
●To ensure the rolling out of the programmatic activitiesare carried out in a transparent, efficient, ethical, equitable and accountable manner horizontally and vertically in the organization.
●To motivate and foster a collaborative and positive environment for Resolve’s group of fellows and alumni, supporting them to achieve their own goals within the scope of Resolve’s vision, mission, priorities and capacities.
●Working closely with our impact assessment consultants,to regularly review and strengthen ourimpact assessment framework and tools and ensure timelyand effective evaluation fororganizational learning and reporting, making keyrecommendations based on analysis.
●To engage and support in strategic planning and takea leading role in setting programmatic goals,targets and budgets in work-plans to grow and scalethe programs offline and online.
●To identify and evaluate opportunities as well asrisks associated with the program activities and takeappropriate action exercising good judgment and integrity.
●To keep abreast of and critically reflect on global developments and trends that may be of relevance to Resolve’s programmatic growth.
●To broker relationships and communicate with the Resolve community and other stakeholders to gain support for the program and to solicit inputto improve the program.
●To conduct research on best practice and thought leadership to build up Resolve’s knowledge and expertise and incorporate these learnings to innovate Resolve’s programs.
●In consultation with the CEO, to recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff, volunteers and interns to support the programs work.
●To supervise and develop program staff, volunteers and interns by providing them with direction, input and feedback in line with the organization’s HR policies and practices.
●In collaboration with the Senior Finance and Administration Officer, to develop programmatic budgets, ensure that the program is operating within the approved budget, to monitor budgeted program expenditures and ensure that all financial records and supporting documentation for the program are up to date.
Senior management team (support responsibilities)
●To be an active contributor to discussions about strategic planning around future programs, activities or events, suggesting creative ideas and new areas for exploration.
●To form a part of the senior management team of Resolve and to liaise with other managers to foster integration and communication across the team.
●To support in cultivating funders, writing grant applications, communicating with donors as outlined in funding agreements and to report on the program to donors.
●To support the Resolve team in our project management tools, data management, information security and data privacy strengthening.
●To be an ambassador and representative for Resolve, attending meetings and events proactively securing opportunities for collaboration with third parties and platforms and speaking to different audiences and media about Resolve’s work.
Qualifications and skills
●A Masters degree in a related field, such as human rights, government and politics, international development, public policy, social work or other equivalent discipline.
●A minimum of 5 years experience in human rights, social justice and inclusion, awareness of how those issues play out in Hong Kong, and demonstrated track record of NGO program incubation and grassroots community empowerment and capacity-building.
●Superior project management skills and demonstrable track record to prove ability to oversee and supervise projects at all stages in the project management cycle.
●Experience in pitching to funders, assisting with grant applications and proposal writing, donor relations and reporting. Experience in participatory grantmaking a plus.
●Previous experience managing small teams and supervising staff members as well as volunteers
●Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, including with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
●Fluency in English (bilingual Chinese ability is preferredbut not required).
●Exceptional digital fluency, including Microsoft Office and Google-based platforms and understanding of data privacy and security. Experience running online events is a plus.
●Familiarity with impact assessment and experience working with monitoring and evaluation frameworks and tools.
●Understanding of community-building, particularly in fellowship or alumni settings, is a bonus, but not a requirement.
●Strong interest in participatory processes and human rights-based approach.

Salary & Benefits
HKD32,000 to HKD36,000 a month, depending on the level of experience and competencies. Several benefits including some options for flexible working, health and dental insurance, opportunities for training and development and above-market levels of annual leave.
