Habitat HK is currently seeking a talented individual for the role of Programme Officer. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will play an integral role in running our domestic programmes in Hong Kong. Working collaboratively with the Partnerships and Marketing & Communications teams, you will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring efficient and impactful domestic programmes, while effectively managing key relationships with beneficiaries, volunteers, NGO and other programme delivery partners.
Support the Programme Manager to develop and execute, strategically aligned and impactful domestic programmes.
Provide end-to-end support for all domestic programmes, including providing pre-, during- and post-activity coordination with volunteers, construction partners, beneficiaries, NGO partners and overseas Habitat colleagues as is needed, liaising with all stakeholders prior, during and post service days.
Ensure quality control, excellent standards and risk management policies are consistently applied to all domestic programmes and ensure that all programme stakeholders, operate in a highly professional manner exemplifying Habitat guidelines, standards and mission.
Prepare and implement tools to gather feedback from programme volunteers, tracking progress towards established and agreed objectives.
Working closely with Programme Team colleagues, provide high-quality, rewarding and life changing volunteer experiences, contributing to the expansion of the number of volunteers whilst increasing and deepening long-term volunteer engagement.
Work collaboratively with the Partnerships and Communications & Marketing Team to provide volunteer stories for further volunteer engagement opportunities.
Undertake other projects or responsibilities as assigned by the Programme Manager.
Note: The role, whilst clearly defined, is part of a fast-moving and evolving organisation and as such, the related responsibilities may need to adapt as the team grows. Any changes will be discussed with the individual but should be recognised as part of the exciting environment within which HFHHK operates.
Minimum 2-year relevant experience, preferably in organizing and implementing volunteer / beneficiary programmes for an NGO
Experience in non-profit organizations is preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
Flexible, positive and with good interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and under pressure
Proficiency in PC operations (MS based applications. English and Chinese word processing; Knowledge of database programmes preferred)
Work during the weekends is required according to project needs
