Project Assistant (2-years contract)

The Project Assistant support the implementation of an externally funded project - “Empowering Ethnic Minorities (EM) Youth of Employment – Early Childhood Care and Education for Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) Learners”.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Handle all project administration work.

  • Assist the promotion of the project with various online and offline platforms to build good network with employers and recruit required number of trainees.

  • Prepare the project materials for targeted groups in their language(s).

  • Assist in consolidating project experience and disseminate good practices with other NGOs and educational groups.

  • Support the Project Officer in his/her communication with the trainees, organization and parents.

 

Requirements:

  • Can speak in Chinese, English and other language(s) of South Asia. South Asia background is preferable.

  • Experience in designing and implementing training course.

  • Understanding of Hong Kong vocational education system.

  • Knowledge of ethnic minority poverty and education issues.

  • Relevant experience in project management.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive, enthusiastic, highly motivated and outgoing personality.

  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.

  • Able to work independently and multi-task, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Shift duty is required.

  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
