HELP for Domestic Workers, provides free advice and assistance on employment, immigration and human rights issues to domestic workers in Hong Kong.
Purpose of the role: This is a paid volunteer role to support the Project Team in the planning and implementation of project activities to ensure that deliverables are met. This role will be involved in HELPing Hands, a year long project to develop a training of trainers(ToT) programme for volunteers and HELP domestic worker community leaders who can inturn carry out in-person and face to face awareness and education programmes on rights of domestic workers in Hong Kong.
Reports to: Head of Programmes
Key Relationships: HELP staff, HELP domestic worker community leaders, HELP volunteersand interns
Key External Contacts: Project service providers and suppliers, funding organisation, law firm partners
●Organize events to engage the migrant domestic worker community
●Assist in reviewing training materials for the ToT program
●Work closely with the Project Team in planning and implementing activities for HELP’s HELPing Hand Project
●Monitor project schedule and budget to ensure that activities are within budget and timeline
●Undertake other administrative tasks and project activities as required
●Experience in event planning and community organizing
●Organised with strong planning and management skills
●Self-starter, highly motivated and resourceful problem solver, with strong attention to detail
●Comfortable in the use of Google suite (Google docs, Google forms, Google sheets)
●Proficiency in English is required
●Proficiency in Tagalog or Bahasa is preferred
