Animals Asia Foundation is an animal welfare charity dedicated to ending cruelty and restoring respect for all animals across the region. We are a grass-roots Asia-based non-governmental organisation headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in the UK, Germany, Australia, USA and Moon Bear Rescue Centres in China and Vietnam. We have the following vacancy at our head office in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong:-

Senior Accountant


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate the work of finance staff in HK and overseas for timely reporting

  • Maintain reports accuracy, which include management report, annual review report and statutory report

  • Deal with auditors of the group and handle their enquiries

  • Assist preparation of annual budget

  • Implement internal control policy

  • Promote harmony working relationship with other departments

  • Administrative work for accounting system, without limitation to expenses application

  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely manner.

  • Participate in staff training and development process

  • Carry out ad hoc projects when required, without limitation to efficiency improvement.

 

Requirements

Qualification

  • Degree or above in Accountancy and/ or qualified accountant with professional bodies.

  • At least 7 years or above relevant working experience (preferably with a few years ‘experience in audit firms).

  • Candidates with hands on experiences with Sun Accounting System/Vision are highly preferred.

  • Experienced with handling auditors and able to satisfy audit requirements for a complicated set of audited accounts in a timely manner.

 
Skills

  • High proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Excellent knowledge of Sun accounting system /Vision or equivalent accounting software preferred.

  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written) and Putonghua.

  • Highly independent.

  • Proficient in multi-tasking and good with planning.

  • Patient and attentive to details.

  • Excellent communications skills and able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff.

  • Candidates who are immediately available" are highly preferred.
