Senior Programme Development Officer (2-year Contract, Renewable)

The Senior Programme Development Officer serves as the major staff to manage OHK’s programme development and grant management. S/he will liaise with other staffs in Hong Kong Programme Unit and other units.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community partners; identify social needs align with OHK’s strategic focuses, promote OHK’s grant to potential partners and ensure our partners are supported and managed in a professional and timely manner;

  • Pursue new institutional funding with new programme ideas;

  • Be the contact point of grant management process including provide feedback to applicants on funding proposal, assist the development of content to communicate the impact of OHK’s grant-making projects and collaborate with other units to promote our programmes so as to engage potential supporters and raise funds; and coordinate with partners on visits and volunteering activities;

  • Provide administrative support for the entire grants management life cycle including funding proposals review and feedback, liaise with internal units for approval process and contract drafting, progress monitoring and evaluation and auditing;

  • Support the Hong Kong Programme Manager in grant planning, budgeting and tracking;

  • Monitor programmes funded by OHK to ensure compliance with OHK policies and procedures;

  • Update and maintain grant tracking record to monitor deadlines of reports submission and grant disbursement; and suggest improvement for next cycl

  • Undertake other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder, with at least 5 years working experience.

  • Solid experience in innovation, public campaign engagement, social and educational services design, social entrepreneurship and/or other related fields;

  • Experience in maintaining a network of partners and stakeholders such as NGOs, corporates, startup organizations, schools and education institutions;

  • Knowledge of innovation, poverty, development issues and climate change;

  • Solid skills in quantitative and/or qualitative research would be a strong advantage;

  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, highly motivated and outgoing personality;

  • Able to work independently, meet tight deadlines and be a good team player;

  • Proactive, creative, detailed-minded, result-oriented and skillful at multi-tasking;

  • Good communication skills and fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
