Social Worker/ Project Manager

Reporting to the CEO and Project Director, the Social Worker/ Project Manager will be responsible for managing various projects within the organisation. The selected candidate will work in the collaborative and professional environment of a fast-growing NGO as well as contributing to the betterment of Hong Kong’s ethnic minority population. This position is full time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing on the vision of the organisation

  • Casework and support services including proactively reach out and engage clients.

  • Plan, lead and support programmes and activities. Project management to include planning, managing and measuring impact.

  • Managing staff and volunteers.

  • Collaborate with other teams to provide comprehensive support to the clients.

  • Providing training to volunteers and other stakeholders.

  • Developing and managing relationships with stakeholders.

  • Making public presentations.

The individual MUST:

  • Be a Registered Social Worker in Hong Kong with social work degree.

  • Be fluent in English; additional languages e.g.Nepali, Hindi, Urdu or Punjabi speaking skills are an advantage.

  • Have 3 years of experience in serving ethnic minorities.

  • Be interested in serving the Hong Kong community with demonstrated passion.

  • Be able to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Be self-motivated with good interpersonal skills as well as a team player.

  • Be highly organised and an exceptional multi tasker with great attention to detail.

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular; Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
