At ConnectedGroup, we are supporting an international non-profit organization in the search for an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Manager to spearhead our client's philanthropic expansion across Southeast Asia. This pivotal role focuses on cultivating relationships with High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and corporate donors in the key hubs of Singapore and Hong Kong.
The successful candidate will leverage our client's innovative and high-impact humanitarian work in Cambodia as the centerpiece of their fundraising strategy.
The primary objective is to secure significant funding to support and scale these vital programs in Cambodia, Laos, and other regions.
Responsibilities:
- Donor Strategy & Relationship Management: Identify, cultivate, and secure major gifts from HNWIs, corporate partners, and foundations in Singapore and Hong Kong.
- Donor Engagement & Trips: Develop and execute tailored engagement strategies, including organizing curated field visits to project sites in Cambodia.
- Proposal & Grant Development: Create compelling funding proposals, presentations, and reports that clearly communicate the unique value and impact of the programs.
- Local Brand Building: Explore and initiate small-scale, local projects in Singapore or Hong Kong (e.g., educational partnerships, demonstration plots) to enhance regional visibility and donor engagement.
- Strategic Development: Research and potentially lead the establishment of a local NGO entity to strengthen the fundraising footprint and operational efficiency in the region.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree (required), with Master’s degree (preferred)
· 5+ years of successful fundraising experience in the region, ideally within an organization working on agroecology, animals, security
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a compelling mission to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A self-starter comfortable working remotely and as part of a global, cross-cultural team.
· Candidate must be willing/able to travel 15-30% of the time to remote areas, principally on learning missions and donor fundraising trips.
· Candidate must have donor fundraising trip management experience
· Excellent communications skills in English, with Mandarin and Cantonese being highly preferred.
Contract Details:
- Initial international consultancy contract with a flexible start date.
- Possibility of transitioning to a locally employed position after the first year.
