Assistant IT Manager (2-year contract, renewable)

This position is responsible for assisting the IT Manager in exploring innovative solutions and enhancing business processes, systems, and projects. Coordinates with stakeholders and teams on planning, design, coding, testing, training, and evaluation. Supports system development and documentation with the IT and infrastructure teams to ensure timely, high-quality project deliverables. His/her job duties include but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis of business processes and propose feasible methodologies and strategies for IT initiatives and digital workspace for OHK.
- Manage IT business projects and ensure the projects are delivered with quality and within schedule.
- Liaise, discuss and negotiate effectively with the stakeholders in relation in project deliverables.
- Perform project planning, monitoring, issue resolution and risk management.
- Coordinate with multiple partners and manage partner performance to ensure the success delivery of projects.
- Coordinate and participate in system design, coding, user testing, training, skill transfer when required.
- Evaluate and report on project outcomes against project deliverables.
- Review and refine the processes/ projects on a regular basis.
- Prepare project documentations such as Project Plan, Functional Design Specification, Implementation Plan and Testing Plan. Perform feasibility study before project implementation.
- Perform tasks as assigned by the director of operations or his delegate.
- Assist OHK for fundraising events if required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree / professional training in Information Technology or related field.
- Preferably with 8 years’ work experience in the field of IT.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Be a proactive supporter of business operations and a leader for the enhancement in our service delivery and operation efficiency.
- Highly reliable, independent, well-organized, and with “can-do” mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present briefings, reports, documentation, and complex solutions.
- Strong self-motivated and can work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills and ability to build cohesive and collaborative partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to work both independently and in cooperation with other colleagues, be an efficient and responsible team player.
- Capable to explore and promote new technologies for digital workplace and process re-engineering.
- Good command in written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
- Experience in project deployment to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure is preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, MS SharePoint, Event and Fundraising system, Payment system or project management qualifications (PMP, Agile/Scrum, etc.) is advantage.
- Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is a must.
