Migrasia Global Solutions , a think and do tank, is seeking passionate and dynamic individuals to join our Board of Directors or Advisory Board and contribute to our mission of supporting fair labor migration and putting an end to forced labour globally.

Context: Migrant workers are essential to the economies of low and high-income countries alike. But today’s migration system is fraught with risks to migrant workers who face exploitation at every stage. There are 28 million people in forced labour today, and migrant workers are 3x more likely to be victims.

Who are we? Migrasia is a think and do tank that fosters solutions to a broken migration system. Our approach is a holistic one, we use a range of innovative interventions, working across data, technology, enforcement, research and education with the goal of putting an end to forced labour and supporting fair labour. About the Role : As a Board Member at Migrasia, you will play a crucial role in guiding the strategic direction of the organization and contributing your expertise to enhance our impact. Leveraging your skills and experience in your respective area of expertise, you will be responsible for:

● Providing strategic guidance and oversight on organizational governance

● Participating in fundraising initiatives and donor engagement efforts

● Offering insights on financial oversight and budget management

● Contributing to public relations and advocacy efforts in the community

● Evaluating organizational performance and long-range planning

Expected Commitment: We ask for an average monthly commitment of at least 5 hours, attendance at board meetings and participation in organizational activities. Board members are expected to contribute financially to the organization and actively engage in fundraising activities. Specific commitments will vary based on individual skills and availability.

Ideal Profiles: We are seeking individuals with the following skills and backgrounds to join our Board of Directors or Advisory Board:

● Fundraising:

○ Experience in identifying and securing fundraising opportunities 1 of 2

○ Ability to lead fundraising campaigns and engage potential donors

● Marketing and Communications:

○ Proficiency in developing marketing strategies and communications materials

○ Skills in managing public relations efforts and digital communications platforms

● Legal Expertise:

○ Knowledge of legal matters relevant to organizational operations and access to remedy for our clients

○ Experience in ensuring compliance and reviewing legal documents

● Financial Expertise:

○ Proficiency in financial oversight and budget management

○ Ability to analyze financial reports and ensure accountability

● Investigations and Law Enforcement Backgrounds:

○ Experience in conducting investigations and enforcing laws

○ Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management

● Academic or Research Expertise

○ Track record of academic research in relevant fields and strong publication record

○ Experience in securing, managing and implementing research grants
