At ConnectedGroup, we are partnering with a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting minority groups in the search for their Executive Director.

Reporting into the Board of Directors, and leading a team of passionate and knowledgeable individuals, the Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in the strategic planning and operations of the organization, aligning with its faith-based principles, mission, and vision.

Responsibilities:
  • Set strategic goals for the organization, and provide fiscal and program updates to the Board of Directors.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with government legislations and policies, and the creation and alignment of internal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the organizations’ ongoing sustainability and growth,  through short- and long-term financial planning oversight, including annual budget creation and allocation of resources.
  • Regularly analyse operations for greater efficiency, effectiveness, and identify opportunities for organizational growth.
  • Strengthen the organizations’ public image and advocacy efforts within the community and with government stakeholders.
  • Serve as chief spokesperson and build strategic partnerships and cooperative arrangements with community groups, and all other stakeholders.
  • Lead and hold accountability over all fundraising initiatives, set and achieve revenue goals, cultivate key donor, and partner relationships, work in diversifying funding sources, and oversee all fundraising initiatives (donations, sponsorships, grants, events, church tithes).
  • Oversee all organizational programs, implementation of plans, delivery and quality of program services, communications, operations, etc.
  • Promotes a respectful and supportive workplace for all employees and volunteers, providing overall leadership in staff development, implementation of plans, policies and programs that promote growth within the organization.
  • Upholds the organizations core principles of its Christian value statement through its mission, vision, operations, strategic planning, and development.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Humanities, or similar. Master’s degree or above highly preferred.
  • Progressive career growth within the not-for-profit sector, with no less than 15 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years management and leadership experience.
  • Proven success in program management and fundraising within an NGO setting.
  • Experience working with marginalized communities is highly preferred.
  • Strong strategic mindset with passion and commitment for social justice and advocacy.
  • Strong awareness of the socioeconomic and political climate in Hong Kong.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English, Cantonese fluency is preferred.
  • The eligible candidate must hold a valis Hong Kong work permit.
