RUN is seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising and Development Manager to lead on fundraising and donor relations starting as soon as possible. Over the past 10 years, RUN has grown and diversified its fundraising income across varied streams to ensure sustainability. The ideal candidate is a highly organised, proactive, and strategic self-starter who can drive the implementation of our fundraising strategy and secure short, medium, and long-term financial support.
This role is perfect for someone looking to be part of a close-knit and dedicated team, and who is looking to hit the ground running while working to support Hong Kong’s most vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
● Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy, in collaboration with the RUN management and Board of Directors
● Proactively identify and pursue diverse short-term and long-term funding opportunities
● Lead the development, organisation and ongoing maintenance of a database of current and potential partners and donors, mapping personalised “donor journeys” based on donor types
● Cultivate and strengthen relationships with current donors through regular and accurate reporting in collaboration with RUN management
● Promote, manage and optimise RUN’s online giving platforms, including crowdfunding campaigns and social media-driven appeals
● Represent RUN at key networking events and meetings, while also developing and delivering pitch decks, proposals, and presentations to seek funding
● Take a leadership role in planning, executing and evaluating RUN’s annual fundraising events (Community Trail Race [November], Virtual Corporate Challenge [March], World Refugee Day [June])
● Take a lead on grant management, including writing fundraising proposals and preparing comprehensive grant reports.

● A reputable and demonstrated track record in fundraising or business development

● Exercises discretion and is able to maintain confidentiality.
● Honest, strong work ethic and committed to financial integrity.
● Fluent in written and spoken English (required) and Cantonese (preferred)
● Digital fluency in Microsoft Office, Google-based platforms, CRM platforms (e.g. Kindful), social media and crowdfunding platforms
● Ability to track programme budgets and advise the team on financial reporting
● Right to work in Hong Kong
Location:
Mainly RUN’s office in Wong Chuk Hang with potential flexibility to work from home
Salary:
Dependent on experience.
Duration:
Permanent contract, part-time role
