Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to manage the financial operations of our organization and social enterprises. You will play a key role in ensuring transparency, compliance, and strategic financial planning to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for the NGO and its social enterprises
2. Manage cash and banks accounts of the NGO, perform bank reconciliations
3. Prepare cheque or online payments to suppliers and vendors
4. Handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll
5. Prepare monthly, year-to-date, and annual financial reports
6. Support grant applications and donor reporting with financial data
7. Assist in financial strategy and sustainability planning
Requirements
· Supports TNC’s mission and vision, passion for working for the charitable sector
· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
· Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in NGO or social enterprise settings (an advantage)
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment
· Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and spoken
