About the Role
Are you passionate about promoting inclusion in Hong Kong and growing relationships that benefit all sides? Do you enjoy communicating with diverse stakeholders and pursuing stretch goals? As we grow rapidly from a young NGO to a mid-sized one, Resolve is looking for an experienced fundraising specialist and partnerships builder who thrives on a challenge and will help us develop the team’s capacity as we diversify our funding mix.
Reporting to the Deputy CEO and working closely with the Communications team, you will have ample opportunity to drive fundraising strategy, broaden external engagement and deepen connections with major supporters, companies and ecosystem partners. This new role comes at a pivotal moment in our 2025-2027 Strategy and will also help plan our 10-year anniversary campaign with a community building mindset.
Key Job Duties
● Lead the team to reach fundraising targets together, with a focus on unrestricted funding (beyond program grants), public campaigns and long-term sustainability through diversified income;
● Strategize the most effective approaches for mobilizing resources (financial and other forms);
Fundraising
● Manage our pipeline of unrestricted fundraising plans and materials, including campaign-specific proposals, sponsorship packages and related;
● Cultivate and strengthen monthly donor relationships, with a goal to increase total donations;
● Drive 2 public fundraising campaigns per year with the team, using data on high ROI methods;
● Incubate and negotiate a number of win-win partnerships with brands (hospitality, retail products, others) to generate extra revenue and public awareness of our mission;
● Ensure that donor data is thoroughly tracked in our CRM (Odoo), conduct regular analysis and help develop the team’s ability to make data-driven decisions for donor stewardship;
Partnerships
● Generate leads and sales for our corporate service income target, by managing our prospects pipeline, nurturing strategic allies and increasing our activity in the Workplace pillar;
● Support the team in organizing, tailoring and, at times, facilitating DEI trainings and public events;
● Expand our reputational reach by initiating ecosystem partnerships that further our advocacy;
● Play a key role in organizing our upcoming annual events and 10-year anniversary campaign.
Essential Skills & Requirements
● Must have the right to work in Hong Kong and be based locally.
● Professional fluency in Cantonese and English is essential for this role. Mandarin is a plus.
● Track record of fundraising experience in nonprofit, with main responsibility for full sales cycle.
● Passion for sales, marketing and storytelling; versatile at tailoring messages to audiences.
● Experience in managing corporate clients, writing proposals and independently generating leads.
● Outstanding relationship management skills, with proven ability to mobilize people & resources.
● Basic knowledge and curiosity about diversity, inclusion & equity topics, as well as themes that Resolve has worked on, such as gender empowerment, disability rights, access to education, etc.
● Growth mindset to pursue ambitious targets, pivot and learn by experimenting together.
● Preferably strong familiarity with Hong Kong social sector landscape and macro business trends.
● Proficiency in basic software such as MS Office, Google suite, Canva, CRM (Odoo is a plus).
Location
Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
Resolve allows for flexible working, currently at a ratio of 40% (remote) / 60% (in office). Occasionally, Resolve events may fall on evenings or weekends, where we distribute the team load.
Salary & Benefits
The expected salary for this role is HKD 28,000 - 37,000 per month depending on experience.
Note that Resolve has an established salary structure that is regularly reviewed against the market and set against a Competency Framework.
