About the Role
Bring your enthusiasm for science engagement, events, and bilingual storytelling to our team as a Programme Assistant. You will support the Head of Grants and Programme Officer in delivering Croucher Science Week and sustaining our public engagement efforts throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities
· Festival delivery: Support festival-wide branding, marketing, and programme logistics for Croucher Science Week; help coordinate school tour shows and contribute to attendee experience planning; assist with liaison for international performing partners, including arrival arrangements, on-site support, and gathering events.
· Content management: Assist with bilingual editing and translation for website copy, teaching resources, newsletters, and promotional materials; help compile post-event reports, statistics, and impact summaries.
· Digital & media engagement: Maintain the photo archive and video library; collaborate with PR and media partners on bilingual content for social channels and other digital touchpoints; support ongoing digital public engagement initiatives.
· Year-round operations: Provide support for Croucher Science Week in-year events, programme planning and curation, international partner outreach, and science communication training; Assist general operations across events, programmes, and scholarship administration.
Requirements
Who you are
· Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. psychology, language studies, marketing, journalism, media, science, or education)
· Strong written and verbal communication in Chinese and English, with translation abilities
· Organised, adaptable with technology, and comfortable learning new tools
· Genuine interest in science, education, and public engagement
· Proactive, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure; a strong team player who can also work independently
· Willing to work some evenings, public holidays, and weekends during the March-April festival period (time off in lieu provided)
· Fresh graduates are welcome; 0–2 years' relevant experience will be considered
Extra points if you bring
· Some experience in events, student societies, education programmes, or overseas exchange coordination
· Exposure to marketing, content creation, graphic design, app development, or UI/UX design
· Skills in photography, video editing, or media asset management
