At ConnectedGroup, we are supporting an international healthcare related non-profit organization in the search for their Regional Philanthropy Lead.
Reporting into senior leadership, the Regional Philanthropy Lead will be responsible for driving strategic fundraising and partnership initiatives across Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China, developing and executing fundraising strategies that align with organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and impact. This person will be responsible for cultivating high-value relationships, securing philanthropic support, and enhancing the organization’s visibility and influence within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional philanthropy and advancement strategies to grow revenue
- Develop and execute activities to identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, foundations, corporations, and external entities.
- Oversee the design and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives, tailoring strategies to meet organizational objectives and donor expectations.
- Collaborate with global teams to leverage international funding opportunities and partnerships, localizing campaigns and activities.
- Represent the organization in high-level meetings, events, and forums to promote its mission and impact.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the region, enhancing organizational brand presence.
- Ensure consistent and compelling messaging in all communications.
- Lead and manage regional advancement staff, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee budget planning and resource allocation for advancement activities.
- Monitor and evaluate performance metrics to ensure strategic objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Marketing, or similar.
- No less than 7 years of experience in fundraising, relationship management and/or sales
- Strong understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Hong Kong and greater China, donor trends and motivations, as well as a network of potential donors.
- Experience starting, and stewarding relationships with HNWI, Corporates and Foundations, and securing major donations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire
- Familiarity with CRM systems and data-driven fundraising approaches.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
