Visionary Bees is an art-based NGO fostering social integration in Hong Kong by bridging cultural divides between Ethnic Minority (EM) and local artists. As we transition from our founding phase to a sustainable growth model, we are seeking four (4) dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors in strategic, oversight-focused roles.

Role: Board Governor (Volunteer) 🐝✨

Commitment: 2-3 hours every quarter (Board meetings only)

What you’ll do:

You aren't there to paint, organize events, or manage staff. Your role is "Oversight," which simply means

A Fresh Set of Eyes: Looking at our plans from an outside perspective to ensure we are being fair and inclusive.

Available Board Seats (4 Vacancies)

We are looking for members to lead the following key functional areas

1. Governance & Compliance: Ensuring adherence to HK charity regulations and Section 88 requirements.

2. Finance & Audit: Providing oversight of financial reporting, budgeting, and fiscal transparency.

3. Fundraising & Partnerships: Leading our strategy for corporate CSR, private donors, and grant applications.

4. Community & Public Relations: Strengthening our ties with the HK arts community and the EM sector.

Core Responsibilities

1. Strategic Oversight: Defining the NGO’s long-term goals and monitoring progress.

2. Fiduciary Duty : Acting in the best interests of the organization and ensuring financial health.

3. Ambassadorship: Representing Visionary Bees to external stakeholders and the public.

4. Governance : Attending quarterly board meetings and providing advisory support.
