We are looking for a hands-on, systems-minded leader to take ownership of Finance, People, Governance, and Systems, ensuring our organisation is not only well-run, but built to grow. This is a high-trust, high-impact role working directly with the CEO and Board, with the autonomy to shape how we operate as we evolve.

This is a builder role, not a maintenance role.
What You Will Own
1. Financial Leadership (Primary Focus)
You will ensure the organisation is financially strong, transparent, and forward-looking.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Deliver clear, decision-useful reporting and analysis
• Oversee accounting, cashflow, and audit processes
• Strengthen financial controls, systems, and processes
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team on strategic decisions
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, company secretary, and regulators
2. People & Culture
You will ensure our team is well-supported, compliant, and able to do their best work.
• Oversee HR operations, recruitment, and staff lifecycle processes
• Strengthen compliance and training practices
• Contribute to workforce planning and organisational design
• Support a culture of accountability, trust, and growth
3. Governance & Risk
You will ensure the organisation operates with integrity, accountability, and resilience.
• Support the Board and committees with high-quality materials and insights
• Strengthen governance processes and compliance frameworks
• Lead risk identification, monitoring, and mitigation efforts
• Advise leadership on organisational resilience
• Oversee policy development & process optimisation
4. Systems, Digital & Administration
You will drive efficiency and scalability through systems, digital tools, and internal administration.
• Oversee IT vendors and core systems (Microsoft 365, Odoo, Monday.com, etc.)
• Identify and implement digital and AI-enabled solutions
• Improve workflows and cross-functional coordination
• Oversee office administration, facilities, and internal infrastructure
• Ensure smooth, well-functioning internal processes and workplace environment
What You Will Build

Who You Are
You are a pragmatic operator with strategic perspective. You can move between detail and big picture with ease.
Experience & Background
• ~10+ years in finance, operations, or compliance-related roles
• Strong understanding of financial management and controls
• Familiarity with Hong Kong regulatory environment for NGOs
• Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organisations is valued
• Professional qualifications (e.g., HKICPA) are a plus Capabilities
• Able to build and improve systems, not just run them
• Comfortable operating hands-on in a lean environment
• Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills
• Proven ability to lead and develop teams
• Excellent communication skills across diverse stakeholders
