We are supporting an international non-profit organization in the search for their Human Resources Manager. Reporting into the Global HR Director and leading a small team, the HR Manager will support global HR compliance, risk and operations, while ensuring local operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
On a global scale:
- Lead implementation and optimization of HR systems and digital tools to streamline processes.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws across regions, updating policies and conducting audits to mitigate risks.
- Oversee payroll, benefits, and reward programs, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with organizational standards.
- Standardize HR policies and processes globally, while adapting them to local contexts.
- Produce HR metrics, compliance reports, and support performance appraisal cycles.
On a local (Hong Kong) scale:
- Act as the primary HR contact locally, advising leadership on HR matters.
- Manage and support the local HR and Admin team, overseeing daily operations.
- Roll out global HR initiatives tailored to local practices.
- Drive recruitment, employer branding, and performance management processes.
- Ensure compliance with local labour regulations and optimize HR workflows using technology.
- Manage departmental budgets and identify opportunities for efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years’ progressive HR experience, including compliance, operations, and risk management.
- Proven track record in policy standardization, audits, and scaling HR processes internationally.
- Experience leading teams and managing cross‑cultural collaboration.
- Experience working within the non-profit sector, highly preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS, automation tools, and HR analytics.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, benefits, benchmarking, and labour laws.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Cantonese and Mandarin.
