Established in 2018, JUST FEEL is the first charitable organisation in Hong Kong to systemically promote Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Compassionate Communication in local schools. Our mission is to transform communication culture within schools and families by empowering educators and parents to enhance students' emotional well-being. To date, JUST FEEL has supported over 55,300 students, 8,900 teachers, and 87,300 parents, partnering with over 65 schools to build a Compassionate School Culture.
The Role
Transitioning between school stages—such as entering Kindergarten or starting Secondary 1—is a period of high emotional risk for students, teachers, and parents. You will lead the Compassionate Transitions Programme, focusing on two critical pathways: K-BRIDGE (Kindergarten) and S1-BRIDGE (Secondary 1). Your goal is to establish a sustainable, measurable system of compassionate practices that strengthen student regulation, teacher confidence, and parent-school alignment.
Key Responsibilities
● Programme Design & Refinement: Lead the development of toolkits and "micro-practices" (e.g., "Emotion Check-ins," "Restorative Routines") tailored for Kindergarten and S1 contexts. Work closely with the team to refine materials of JUST FEEL core Compassionate School Programme (CSP).
● Teacher Empowerment & Coaching: Deliver high-impact Professional Development (PD) and grade-level coaching e.g. designing and leading workshops, co-learning group or community events. You will help teachers move from "management" to "connection," using empathetic scripts and needs-oriented responses.
● Monitoring, Evaluation, & Learning (MEL): Use a "short iteration" cycle to reflect, fine-tune, and measure impact through qualitative stories and simplified metrics (e.g., student belonging, teacher self-efficacy).
● Internal Capacity Building: Contribute to the "JUST FEEL Facilitator Pathway" by modularizing programme elements to train future facilitators.
Who You Are (Competencies & Mindset)
We are looking for a "stretched" individual who is ready to grow with us:
● Empathetic Communicator: Good understanding of SEL and NVC, and/or trauma-informed practices. Proficient in Cantonese and English.
● Experience: Background in education, counseling, or programme management in Hong Kong’s school sector.
● Innovative Problem Solver: Able to turn complex psychological concepts into "can-do" classroom practices for busy teachers and/or parents.
● Collaborative Leader: Demonstrates integrity and a commitment to knowledge sharing with team members. Comfortable with public speaking and facilitation to small or medium size audiences internally and externally.
● Growth Mindset: Embraces challenges as opportunities for growth. Eager to learn and excited about new knowledge.
What We Offer
● Compassionate and Supportive Team Culture: Join a team that lives the "Connection Before Solution" principle, prioritizing psychological safety and trust-building where staff feel safe, seen, and valued.
● Systemic Exposure: Gain high-level exposure to Hong Kong’s educational landscape, partnering with school leaders and diverse stakeholders to drive city-wide social-emotional transformation.
● Professional Mastery: Access specialized coaching and training opportunities, including a co-created Personal Development Plan (PDP) designed to align your strengths with our mission.
● Well-being Support: Enjoy generous annual leave, flexible working hours and work-from-home arrangements and medical insurance coverage for sustainable well-being.
● Growth-Focused Management: Benefit from a "growth lens" approach that values your morale and confidence, providing clear milestones to help you navigate challenges and stay motivated.
Role designation and accountability will be aligned with the candidate’s depth and breadth of experience.
Interested individuals are kindly requested to submit their full resume, cover letter, current and expected salary, along with their availability date, on or before 10 Jun 2026. All information provided will be treated in strict confidence and will be solely used for recruitment purposes.
